The New Mexico Corrections Department Victim Services Program will serve as a point of contact within corrections for victims of crime and their families. We are committed to addressing the needs of crime victims and their families through a variety of services. The New Mexico Corrections Department Victim Services Program provides the following services:

• A victim assistance toll-free number. If you need information about an offender's supervision status, location, release date and other relevant information call our victim assistance toll-free number at: 1-877-VICTIM4 (1-877-842-8464). The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Mountain Standard Time).
  
  
• Information & Advocacy. The New Mexico Corrections Department Victim Services Program is here to provide comprehensive information, assistance, and advocacy to crime victims and their families throughout the corrections process. This includes providing information about the New Mexico corrections system. If you feel you need assistance getting information/services from other areas within the New Mexico Corrections Department, the Victim Services Program is here to assist you.
  
  
• Provide referral services to assist victims and victims' families with specific needs in obtaining federal, state and/or community victim resources.
  
  
• Assistance during the Parole Board hearing process.
  
  
• Provide education to New Mexico Corrections Department staff in order to increase awareness and sensitivity of victims' rights and needs.
  
  
• Information regarding the rights of victims.
